Project: Infrastructure; Sewer Diversion and Underground Car Park
Client: Hall Varley Homes
Hall Varley Homes are an established housing developer with a strong reputation for high construction standards.
We were pleased when they asked us to manage a sewer diversion in the historic market town of Skipton, North Yorkshire.
With a neighbouring canal and existing buildings bordering this development, the space available on this town centre brownfield site was limited, which called for good planning and project management skills from R F Maude.
Drawing on our broad experience of sewers and underground engineering, we were able to manage the sewer excavation to a tight technical specification, with minimal disturbance to local water and waste services.
Careful planning meant that we also achieved the least possible disturbance to neighbouring properties.
Our engineering capabilities enabled Hall Varley Houses to deliver their plan for underground car parking, and optimise the value of this town centre development.
